Here we will take a look at creating and using care packages.
Care packages are a great way to bundle services and products, or even just services or products in bulk, all at a discounted price. To begin, let's create a care package. Head to the settings area and locate "Financials". Within financials, you will find the option for "Care Packages". Simply click on that to proceed.
Once you've selected care packages, you'll be directed to a screen where you can customize existing packages and create new ones. This screen also allows you to review your current care packages, providing details such as the quantity sold, the package's value, and its price. Let's proceed by creating a new package.
On the following page, you will be asked to name the care package, set a price, and an expiration date. Once the information has been added we will submit to continue.
On this page, we will start to add services, products, or both. Simply select "Add Item".
Next, you'll be asked to choose a quantity and then decide whether you'd like to include a service or product. Once you've made your selection, a second drop-down will appear for you to choose the specific product or service.
Once all desired items have been selected for your care package, simply click on the submit button to proceed to the next screen. Here, you can review your care package and further customize it. If you are happy with the care package you have put together, select submit to finalize it.
Now that your care package has been created let's take a look at how to use it. First off the patient needs to purchase the package. To add a package to a patient's profile let's navigate to their billing tab and select the "Charges" drop-down. From there you will see "Add Packages".
Once selected you will be taken to the following screen to enter the required information and the package desired. From this screen, you may also select other patients to share the package with. This is great for sharing with a spouse or other family members. After all information has been entered select submit.
Once a care package has been added, it can be easily located under the billing tab and then care packages tab. Here, you will find detailed information on its usage, sharing options, expiration date, and purchase date.
Now that the care package has been added for the patient, let's explore how it can be used towards a service. After selecting the service from the billing tab, simply click on the box to the left of it. Then, choose the "Payments" drop-down menu and select "Apply Care Package".
After selecting "Apply care package" a new window will appear asking you to select the care package. You will then select the care package from the drop-down and select Apply.
Once applied you will see the service shows a green check mark and you can hover over it to see that the care package has been applied.
